Extend AutoCAD with fast native point-cloud cropping, editable crop boxes and precision sections. Coordinate recurring scan views with the Crop State Manager, and restore each saved section together with its crop, UCS and working parameters in the Section Manager.
Create a transparent crop box around the cloud or around the crop already applied, then drag its face grips to resize it. Rotate it with AutoCAD’s own ROTATE, or square it to the scan with Align. The crop updates as the box changes.
Use spherical, polygonal, rectangular, circular, buffer-corridor and slice crops for objects, irregular footprints, roads, pipes and plan slabs.
Cut floor-plan, ceiling, facade and elevation slabs with editable crop boxes, named section UCSs and step commands for moving through the cloud.
Create angled plane sections from three points, a 3D face or an automatically detected surface plane picked directly from the cloud.
Walk a perpendicular cut along a path with forward and backward station stepping, or keep every station at once as a comb of evenly spaced slabs along an axis.
Crop States and Sections are real AutoCAD palettes: dock, float or auto-hide them, apply a saved crop or section with a click, rebuild its box and restore its UCS without closing the panel.
Hide, show, isolate, lock and unlock clouds, zoom to cloud extents, cycle point-cloud styles, adjust transparency, level of detail, point size and boundary display. Works with RCP/RCS clouds attached in AutoCAD and AutoCAD-based verticals.
A single stray drag can move a referenced cloud and quietly break alignment across an entire drawing. PCCTools lets you lock clouds in place so they stay put while you work around them — no more re-registering scans after a slip of the mouse.
Selecting the right points in a dense cloud is normally fiddly and slow. Smart, zoom-aware selection tools grab exactly the region you mean — across millions of points — so you spend time cropping, not wrestling with the pointer.
Crops stay pixel-accurate whether you're framing a whole site or trimming a doorway. Define your boundary once and it holds true as you zoom in to verify detail — no drift, no re-doing the cut.
Save, name and recall crop and section states as you explore a scan. Jump back to a previous view instantly and keep an organised set of states for every deliverable — instead of re-cropping from scratch.
Polygonal and multi-boundary cropping handle irregular footprints, curved facades and overlapping structures cleanly — so even awkward sites come out tidy and ready for the next step in CAD.
Feedback published by CAD and survey professionals using PCCTools in production workflows.
“Fantastic set of tools that provides much needed extra functionality when manipulating point clouds.”
“Autodesk should add this tool and Denys' other utility - 3D Pipe Tools - to Plant 3D. They save a LOT of time when modelling from XREFed point clouds.”
“This looks really good. We moved away from RECAP and are using Cloudworx but even Cloudworx doesn't give you locked and zoomed in capabilities for clipping and cleaning with selection windows.”
“PCCTools helped me cut point cloud processing time in half. The intuitive tools and clean workflow are exactly what I needed for architectural surveys.”
“Handling multiple clouds, locking them, cropping - it's all so easy now. This plugin became part of my daily routine in AutoCAD.”
Version 3.1 is one native ObjectARX module for AutoCAD 2018-2027, so every release runs the same crop engine and crops land in the same place whatever the current UCS or view. It adds live previews on every interactive crop, a dockable Crop State Manager for coordinated views across multiple scans, a dockable Section Manager for restoring crop, UCS and parameters together, multi-section crops along an axis, and a crop box that follows AutoCAD’s own ROTATE. Licences, crop states and sections created with 3.0 carry over.
Understand the production problem, choose defensible parameters and verify the result before applying the workflow in AutoCAD or BricsCAD.

PCCTools supports AutoCAD 2018-2027 and AutoCAD-based verticals such as Civil 3D, Map 3D, Architecture, MEP, Mechanical, Electrical, Plant 3D and Advance Steel on 64-bit Windows. From version 3.1 the plugin is a single native ObjectARX module, so the same crop engine runs on every supported release. ObjectARX is not supported in AutoCAD LT.
Yes — we track new AutoCAD releases and ship compatibility updates. Active licences receive updates at no extra cost.
Every plan includes a 15-day free trial with the full feature set, no payment details required to start.
A single licence is for one seat. For multiple machines, floating access or volume deployment, contact us for network licensing options.
PCCTools applies point-cloud crop boundaries without deleting scan data. You can remove the last crop, uncrop everything, toggle crops on and off, or recall a named crop state.
Yes. The CADTools Suite includes PCCTools, DTMTools, 3DPTools and FPTools from €99 per month or €999 per year.
