Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 7, 2026
This policy explains how SPM3D LLC processes personal data when you use CADTools.pro, contact us, or use CADTools plugins and their licensing features.

1. Controller

The data controller is SPM3D LLC, Valencia, Spain ("CADTools.pro", "we", "us"). We develop and distribute AutoCAD and BricsCAD plugins, including PCCTools, DTM Tools, 3D Pipe Tools and Floorplan Tools.

You can contact us about privacy at info@cadtools.pro or by phone at +34 615 793 863.

2. Personal data we process

  • Contact and support data: your name, email address, phone number, company details, message content, plugin of interest, support request details and any files or information you choose to send us.
  • Purchase and subscription data: order details, selected products, licence plan, trial or subscription status, billing contact details, payment status and transaction references. Full card or payment account details are handled by our payment provider, not by us.
  • Licence and activation data: plugin identifier, software version, licence or subscription status, trial status, expiry date, last licence check date, activation identifiers, device identifiers, processor identifier, computer name, Windows username, generated hashes or tokens, IP address and related server log data.
  • Local software data: CADTools plugins may store licence status, activation identifiers and licence dates locally on your device, including in the Windows registry, so the software can confirm access and support limited offline use.
  • Website and technical data: IP address, browser type, device type, pages requested, date and time of access, referring page and security logs generated when you visit the website.

3. How we use personal data

  • To answer enquiries, provide quotes, handle trials and deliver support.
  • To provide, activate, validate, renew, suspend or terminate software licences and subscriptions.
  • To prevent fraud, unauthorised use, licence abuse and security incidents.
  • To operate, secure, maintain and improve our website, plugins, licensing services and customer communications.
  • To comply with accounting, tax, legal and regulatory obligations.

We do not sell personal data.

4. Legal bases under the GDPR

  • Contract: where processing is necessary to provide trials, licences, subscriptions, software access, updates, support and related customer services.
  • Legitimate interests: where we secure our services, prevent misuse, maintain licence integrity, improve our products, respond to business enquiries and keep basic business records, provided those interests are not overridden by your rights and freedoms.
  • Legal obligation: where we must keep invoices, tax records, accounting records or respond to lawful requests.
  • Consent: where we ask for optional consent, including for marketing communications and non-essential analytics or advertising technologies.

5. Cookies and external resources

We use ConsentManager to collect and manage cookie choices. Subject to your consent settings and applicable law, the website may use Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager to measure visits and website use, and the LinkedIn Insight Tag to measure campaigns and conversions. These providers may process identifiers, cookie data, IP address, browser and device information, referring pages, pages visited and interaction data.

Non-essential analytics and advertising technologies are controlled through our consent-management platform. You can accept, reject or change your choices through the cookie settings made available on the website. Standard server logs may still record technical data needed to deliver and secure the website. The website may also load fonts, scripts or static resources from third-party providers, which can cause your browser to share technical request data with those providers.

6. Sharing personal data

We may share personal data with service providers who help us operate our business, such as hosting providers, licensing infrastructure providers, payment processors, email providers, customer support tools, accounting providers and professional advisers. We require service providers to process personal data only for agreed purposes and with appropriate confidentiality and security safeguards.

We may also disclose personal data if required by law, court order, tax authority, regulator, or where necessary to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.

7. International transfers

Some service providers may process personal data outside the European Economic Area. Where this happens, we use appropriate GDPR safeguards, such as an adequacy decision, Standard Contractual Clauses, or another lawful transfer mechanism.

8. Retention

We keep personal data only for as long as necessary for the purposes described in this policy. In general:

  • Contact and support communications are kept for the period needed to respond and maintain a reasonable customer history.
  • Licence, activation and subscription records are kept while your trial, licence or subscription is active and for a reasonable period afterwards to handle renewals, support, fraud prevention, disputes and audit needs.
  • Accounting, invoice and tax records are kept for the period required by applicable law.
  • Website and security logs are kept for a limited period unless needed to investigate security incidents, misuse or legal claims.

9. Security

We use technical and organisational measures designed to protect personal data against unauthorised access, loss, misuse or alteration. No online service or software system can be guaranteed completely secure, but we limit access to personal data to people and providers who need it for the purposes described above.

10. Your rights

Under the GDPR, you may have the right to request access to your personal data, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability, and to object to processing based on legitimate interests. Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw consent at any time.

To exercise your rights, contact us at info@cadtools.pro. We may need to verify your identity before responding. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local EU data protection authority or with the Spanish Data Protection Agency.

11. Automated decisions

We do not use personal data for automated decision-making that produces legal effects concerning you or similarly significantly affects you within the meaning of Article 22 GDPR. Licence status checks may automatically determine whether the software can be used according to the licence or trial terms.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when our website, software, licensing services or legal obligations change. The updated version will be posted on this page with a new "Last updated" date.
